Also I winced at many of the jokes. As a historian I cannot stand heavy-handed "DIDYA KNOW THE SANDWICH WAS INVENTED IN THIS TIME PERIOD TOO?"-style humor. I thought the way they did the singing was interesting and worth the attendance though.

I laughed only at the 'phillistines' joke when Farinelli said he could sing in English.
