The photos have one terrible time break in them where in one of them, he's alive (if suffering), and then the next is a bunch of organs on a dissection table... 
Slotin was an active, understanding participant in his death experience becoming a scientifically legible data point on responses to radiation, right?
Like, my understanding is that he actively wanted to be studied?
