Can't I just send an email to everyone that says "Due to me saying yes to too many things, I am unable to do anything for or with you until March 1. Kthxbai." Or is that not professional?
Just do like the rest of us do and keep it "unread" and never reply but feel guilty about it until finally enough time has passed that you conclude that replying would be even more awkward and then you change it to "read" and move on
