this could work, too... the minute I get one part working, suddenly it turns out there's a whole other thing missing, and it requires its own little installer program, and changing environmental variables, and etc. etc. etc. etc.pic.twitter.com/8uzINPrS4N

never have I appreciated package managers until this moment... getting it all working on my Mac was like, not a big deal... porting it to Windows 10 has been a multi-day struggle.

(And before you ask, why would I do such a thing... I am trying to set up automated, Python-scripted OCRing of around ~1 million PDFs. So it's got to run on the office computer, which for various reasons is Windows... ugh)
