Well, that’s a tempting location. And I should say: I’m no SSHA veteran. Self-conscious interloper maybe. On another note, I often wonder how long it takes people to become “regulars” at any of these, given costs and other factors, and what the stakes are.

I can only claim regular status at HSS, but I'd say it was after about 3-4 meetings that I felt like a regular. A lot of that has to do with building relationships outside of the meeting too. Not a regular at SHOT, but I think it's a bit more accommodating of outsiders.
I have about a million feelings on the differences between SHOT, 4S, HSS, but I don't think they're appropriate for Twitter :-)
