      I've worked for many NGOS in this field for >30 yrs; <10 were "in" academia. @Cirincione is a former staffer for the House Armed Services and House Gov't Operations Cmttes. @Woolaf isn't in academia. But military service isn't a prerequisite to becoming a nuclear policy expert.

      An example of the incestuous nature of policy "experts". Little real world experience of how policy is actually implemented. Rather, reference out of touch "experts" to develop their own out of touch policies. Then heap praise & titles at each other. Self licking ice cream cones

      It’s is important that nuclear policy is debated and shaped by an ongoing conversation between military as well as outside experts and stakeholders. No one owns the issue or should be excluded from it.

      Y'all, this guy has no interest in whether people in this group have had clearances or if they have served this country in some way. He disagrees with us. We can just say "bless your heart" and move along.
