it doesn't seem to have effected grad student enrollments, etc., from what I have seen (I would require evidence to believe it, anyway). 3) Universities qua universities do not donate to political campaigns. Individuals often do. But so what? (Speaking of anti-free speech...)

And if you think this is an issue of the GOP "funding universities"... If you can only see the value of higher education, of science and technology, of training new medical researchers, etc., in terms of partisan politics, you are in serious need of perspective.
