(Which makes me wonder: are they planning to test megaton-range yield?)

Hold on, people, hold on, that is a huge ass SHROUD, not a huge ass RVs. These are RVs:pic.twitter.com/zoJ7K7LnAe

Sometimes one and the same of course!

Well, damn, I am too focused on modern systems, and should never argue with a nuclear historian.pic.twitter.com/nzk2Jpuidr

I think it's up for debate right now if its a shroud or RV. I vote shroud based on a lack of apparent ablative material. That MK VI you linked has an ablative nose you can see in photos. Experts to weigh in eventually I figure.

Wonder if meant for Mr. Peanut, for Mr. Peanut & friends, follow on to Mr. Peanut, or MR. Peanut & penaids? -
Waiting for the first idiot that says, "we still don't know if their RV works."

What would you say the overall size comparison is to the Titan II? To my untrained eye it looks smaller, at least length wise, but I might be over estimating the size of the Titan II.

It is probably a trivial question, but: is bigger necessarily a bad sign for us? Couldn’t this just be an indication that they simply haven’t miniaturized the technology enough? Or are far away from advanced versions? Not that this is really any consolation in the end...

I think they're just still very much behind on miniaturization. Think of the practical side, all the standard bridges & underpasses this behemoth cannot pass etc.

Also top heavy so very tricky to drive on sideways slopes... if they could have made it smaller, they would have.
