What is truly remarkable is that the authors do not feel the need to define "liberal arts" or actually say whether it is an appropriate term for what they want. They seem to take it to mean "stuff we would like students to know." Which is not what it means.

@ProfCharlesHaas made a similar point. I think the conception of innovation is wildly superficial. More like marketing.
