I worry about groupthink. I worry about impulsiveness. I worry about pride.

-
I was worried before the election yet reasonably optimistic common sense and cooler heads would prevail to more or less maintain status quo.
-
Then Trump repeatedly trashed diplomacy and goaded Kim toward war, as McMaster insisted Kim could not be deterred and ICBM was unacceptable.
-
Both sides have now dug in so hard it will be very difficult to avoid a war, esp. if Trump and McMaster believe the US can disarm the DPRK.
-
I used to believe blundering into war by accident, through ignorance and arrogance, was the biggest danger with Trump. Now, I'm not so sure.
-
Why? Trump wins—in business, as a candidate, and now as POTUS—by bullying his adversaries until he gets his way. He sees no difference here.

And the kick-the-can/ignore/neglect of the WJC, GWB and BHO administrations didn't worry you? They also are trying to burnish their legacies
