Yet over 100,000 people were killed at Hiroshima, albeit I believe the bombings were necessary and not war crimes.

Nope. It was an accepted part of total war, and the Western Allies did try to avoid civilian casualties where possible.

Note that the Allies had more than enough chem/biol weapons to deploy prior to the atom bomb, but these were indiscriminate and banned.
