I keep SkyMall in mind whenever someone comments on silly things that other cultures do. "OMG the Japanese like tentacles" OK but.. SkyMall?

I know someone who used to write ad copy for SkyMall, and I enjoy reading it with that in mind: "My god... someone was paid to write this."

Occasionally you can find ad copy that looks like that person is taking the piss on it; "Who HASN'T wanted a tiny Bigfoot for their yard?"
