Note: traveling on Amtrak after traveling on a Shinkansen is...desperately depressing. Feels slow and rickety. And, of course, running late.

Out of curiosity, I tried looked up average delay for the train I'm on. Relevant page of Amtrak site won't load. Perhaps says enough.

OK, it finally loaded. It doesn't give an average number, just says that it's on time about 75% of the time. I mean, could be worse.
