I believe it's just lying there for show and connects to AFF 6 and thence to AFF 3 when wired.

I suspect some of the black/red/grey bundles and connectors jumper the remaining unconnected AFF 2 and BOX 2 connectors.

I think one will jumper a lower lobe of bomb package Boost gas package/valve to AFF 2, but that's a guess. That Boost gas component missing

The BOX (whatever it is) BOX 2 connector may feed to AFF cannister or to an external antenna. Can't tell.

Taking a step back... I was looking for signs this was a mockup, pure test unit, incomplete. Did not find many. Little parts missing only.

It would have been relatively trivial to make something that was just a cylinder with a rounded end and called it an H-bomb, for example.

Right. I focused for 12 H on the wiring and when I started I thought it was mostly test rig wiring like Gadget. Ended up mind changed.
