Because when someone of uncertain mental state gets ahold of a gun, hey, obviously you just, you know, take it away from them!
Except that we don't even actually DO THIS WITH ACTUAL GUNS in the United States!

True: the argument that Americans who hoard armories full of guns are crazy and we should “fix” that… also doesn’t go over well.
