1) I don't want to diminish the horror of the atomic attacks on Hiroshima & Nagasaki, but I do feel we need to clear up a misconception.

The USAAF bombed Nagasaki five times in the year leading up to, but yes it was mostly down to weather conditions.
Which is just to say that many who find Hiroshima justifiable or even understandable find Nagasaki a much harder pill to swallow.
