1) I don't want to diminish the horror of the atomic attacks on Hiroshima & Nagasaki, but I do feel we need to clear up a misconception.

I can say it was the main supply port for the Japanese Navy. I can also say I deplore the indiscriminate targeting of civilians.
I don't think anybody — even the Peace Museum in Hiroshima — denies that there were military targets within the cities.

Who said anything about denial? I was addressing specific narratives in my local media to a very small, local, non-specialist audience.
