1) I don't want to diminish the horror of the atomic attacks on Hiroshima & Nagasaki, but I do feel we need to clear up a misconception.

3) Nagasaki was a major centre for heavy industry, naval shipbuilding and weapons manufacture. Nukes are still deplorable though.
