I know of at least one person who has made a decent replica. I don't think it is 3D printed though.

No, that was part of the Little Boy core (the projectile piece). The FM core and the rest of the LB core were sent via C-54 cargo planes.

Don't know about guy on left but guy on right (Luis Alvarez) lived to be 77. Stable, alloyed, plated Pu in a box not a serious cancer risk.
