No, the problem with Brooks argument is that he rejects truly structural explanations, in exchange for stupid things about food familiarity.

Apart from the food, the linguistic and cultural inventions he points out certainly seem to me to contribute to the class divide.

I don't think they're a significant source of class inequality, social immobility, etc., compared to structural issues like education, etc.
