        Alas, I have been unlucky enough to have to file many FOIAs with NARA! They are by far the slowest in the list! (But they have my sympathy)

        NARA is its own federal agency; it is meant to house all federal records once they become "historical," including those still classified.

        Did you have to file FOIA for both DOE and NNSA when you really just need one of them?

        I don't think so. I only file NNSA for labs. DOE is for central HQ/AEC stuff. Most agencies pretty good about forwarding requests, too.
