@wellerstein LA-13638 mentions a "reenactment" and a "rerun", the latter producing about 6×10^15 fissions. -
@wellerstein i.e. rerun did involve actual fissile materials. The question is whether "reenactment" (which refers to the photos) is... -

@pfc_joker The "cores" in those photos are the right measurements — and the only ones I've ever seen declassified.

@wellerstein My wife had radiation therapy for breast cancer a few years ago, and I'm amazed how early it was discovered/used. -
