@wellerstein I also find it really interesting that these were created by the US gov't, re-staging the angles of the earlier photos.

@wellerstein When exactly we’re those photos taken? Seems like the debris had been removed before them. -
@bbccdde They are undated but they would have been taken no earlier than late 1945, maybe 1946. -
@wellerstein Thanks! Was that the first time a U.S. delegation came to Hiroshima after the war had ended? -
@bbccdde The first Americans to survey Hiroshima/Nagasaki came in September 1945 with the first Occupation group. -
