@wellerstein it always amazes me that they were able to sync the cameras to the explosion. -
@angeldominguez They had over 50 cameras in place, some that could photograph at 10,000 frames per second. They worked hard for that shot!

@wellerstein On the Trinity anniversary, a question that has puzzled me for some time now. -
@wellerstein AFAIK the original yield estimate had been 18.6 kt. Later it was updated to 21 kt. Is that true? -
@wellerstein Would be interesting to know 1) when they changed the estimate 2) when the exact value of yield was published for the 1st time -
@pfc_joker They hadn't finalized how to calculate yields at that point, e.g. blast yield, radiochemical yield, thermal yield, all different
