@wellerstein That was a great blog post, btw. How heavy were those boxes with their cores?
@journeymanhisto The core itself was a little over 13 lbs. The box would have probably added a pound or two. So heavy for a small box.

@wellerstein And was that all the explosive (fissile?) material needed for the weapon? All that explosive force contained in 13 pounds? -
@journeymanhisto The nuclear fuel was 13 pounds but it took 4 tons of other equipment to make it detonate.
