@wellerstein Off by a decade. The program was terminated by President Kennedy on March 28, 1961 (after expending almost $10,000,000,000).
@SchwartzCNS My understanding is that it was only NEPA until 1951, at which point it turned into ANP?

@wellerstein Ah, that's correct. When it became ANP, AEC got involved. Not to be outdone, Navy in '55 created program for subsonic seaplane. -
