I took a look at the original piece — it doesn't claim she was doing that in Europe, but rather that it was when she was part of the War Manpower Commission, and they recruited laborers in the US. Note that 10,000 people is only about 2% of the Manhattan Project manpower.pic.twitter.com/ziZARfa3TZ
