Members are pretty common historically. And there's a good CRS report I think listing those who died of non-natural causes. Non-members I'm not sure about, and certainly not witnesses mid-testimony. I'd guess Roselli is the most famous post-testimony.
As congressional murder stories go, William Taulbee is a pretty good one. And if you haven't read Freeman's Field of Blood yet, its awesome.
