Yesterday, my wife's 14 mile driving commute (the Bronx to Hoboken) took... **9 hours.** One of those things so horrible that it's kind of impressive.

I am not one to howl for official blood when something goes awry with weather forecasting... but I will say that this gives one little confidence that our infrastructure would be very good at managing a genuine catastrophe, if six inches of unexpected wet snow can cripple it so.

I know I know "every time you go somewhere nice, the weather here gets horrible" is her mantra in all fairness, the weather is often awful even when I stick around, though
