It'd be interesting to be able to feed a list of coordinates, maybe as a KML file (or csv, or json, whatever), into #NUKEMAP and have it display the bulk results; it'd be easier than setting up each det through the UI. @wellerstein you ever considered such a thing?

Yes — there is an undocumented feature that lets one do this. If you are interested in doing something with it, just e-mail me.

Thanks! It'd be just to satisfy my unquestionably morbid curiosity rather than any legitimate research. I'll put something together—looking at possible DGZs in and around New Orleans—and get at you in week or two.

Basically the way it works is, you create a text file that contains all of the permalink data you want to import. And there is a way to make it load that text file (you have to host it on a server somewhere) and then work its way through the permalinks.

The main downside is that it can be very CPU intensive for you (not the site), or at least it was under Google Maps. I haven't tried it on Mapbox/Leaflet. But adding LOTS of detonations starts to slow things down.
