Has anyone you know of scientifically analyzed any of the new footage yet and published the analysis?

Not that I know of. It seems to me it would be hard to do much with it, since LLNL (probably deliberately) hasn't give out scales of distance or time. Some of the footage is useful for cloud modeling, though — I've been using it for that as part of a project.
