We know that climate change is impacting people’s mental health around the world. But we need more research on the intersection of #ClimateChange and #MentalHealth to understand, prevent and manage the impacts. That’s why we’re launching ‘Connecting Climate Minds’ 👇
Irini Pantelidou and Alessandro Massazza, Research Managers at Wellcome, say: "We want to fill the gaps on how climate change is negatively impacting mental health and what we can do about it." To the right there is an image of a woman holding her baby.

The way that we diagnose and treat mental health conditions hasn’t changed much in decades. But new research into markers for anxiety and depression could change that.
An infographic reads: Markers of anxiety and depression include social, biological, psychological and digital markers. Understanding these markers better could improve diagnosis, prediction, treatment, monitoring and research.

Tools to control and prevent cholera exist, yet outbreaks have risen since 2021. We want to help by generating evidence on the use of the oral cholera vaccine. We’re awarding up to £1.3mn to research teams who can do this. Here’s what you need to know: wellc.me/3mJ40sU
Helen Groves, Senior Research Manager at Wellcome, says: "The cholera vaccine helps prevent and limit outbreaks. But there's not enough of it. So we need to generate evidence on where and how to use it to best effect."
