    KHS had their 1st Annual Baby Bottle Regatta today and it was so much fun to watch the kids come up with stoichiometric relationships to propel their bottles down the gutters! Round 2 tomorrow!!!

    1st period convinced 's chem class to a spontaneous competition! Played hot seats with mixed naming and formula writing! Things got intense!!! Got to chill out with a fun bubble gum % comp lab to round out the day

    Got to hear from my virtual Ss today via Classkick when I asked them to leave an audio comment about why ionic names/formulas were written incorrectly...happy to hear their voices and they left great explanations for me!

    I made a digital escape room for my virtual students to practice empirical and molecular formulas instead of giving them the paper copy of Empirical Airlines. I had some fun making it!

    Put my virtual Ss in groups to represent the periodic trends visually (one per S) and then collaborate on answering questions as that discussion piece is a valuable part of the learning process....I loved how this S chose to represent IE using pennies!!!

    Got 5 kiddos to show up to my 8 pm Zoom session tonight! One of my virtuals said he appreciated the online circuit I made him do as it is designed to let him know if he is getting the correct answers or not! Chem friends, let me know if you want to give it a try!
