I think really often, folks think the purpose of feedback is to poke holes in something rather than identify the holes and close them up. Asking questions, rather than prescribing solutions, is a good way to let someone address those holes in a way that is authentic to them.

I find myself saying this. I mean it in a way of, "this is my opinion, but yours might be different and there's lots of different ways to science/write/present and that's okay too." But I guess it might not come across that way.
