Ok, is it me or is it really weird that @OpenSourceOrg doesn't have anybody on its board with strong ties to any of the 5 major open source foundations: @TheASF @EclipseFdn @linuxfoundation @mozila and @fsf ? https://opensource.org/docs/board-annotated …

Five of the 11 board seats are nominated and voted on by OSI Affiliate members (non-profit foundations). Five othera nominated and voted on by individual members. OSI G.M. is an ex. officio member of the board.

Replying to @OpenSourceOrg @TheASF and
I know how the board election in OSI works. That's not the issue. The issue is that the current board doesn't have strong ties to actual producers of the majority of OS (well that plus the fact that
@TheASF is staying out of affiliate business).1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

OSI has the current DPL, staff from FSF & TDF & WMF & from RH. It previously had the Eclipse ED. It's an elected rather than appointed Board so to change that get an affiliate to nominate your choice of candidate.

Would be happy to have the ASF back as an Affiliate BTW.
