Hold, hold, hold. With our GDPR rules in the EU we all have cookie notices now. Values for those notices are almost exclusively set with document.cookie. This will be a gigantic headache for users as they have to set those cookies values over and over again.

This could hurt a lot the browsing experience for European users, because of Consent Management Platforms. It's going to be a CMP popup nightmare every 7 days.
