    As a part of its defense efforts the PLA focuses on defending the PRC's "national cyber border". Guarding this border probably entails some entangling of the military and domestic surveillance apparatus.

    Yahoo ceases its operations in 🇨🇳 due to a challenging environment that endangers a free and open internet. It took Yahoo too long to realize this. The impacts of its operations on human rights were evident since at least 2005.
