Sometimes I get the sense that our generation added an extended, over-supervised childhood in adolescence & deleted their 20s, the period when it's actually okay to wander around with all your stuff in your trunk & start a commune or a company or whatever.

Mistakes are the foundation for which I've built everything- I have a free email course on how to embrace the mistakes, if anyone wants to check into it. http://coaching.landmarkmakers.com/missklyn

Did this work for you?

Yes — I was horribly unhappy in college. Against all advice, I dropped out to take a very low-paying (but cool) research job in NYC. When that didn't pan out, I wandered around the country freelancing until I found a place I love. Very glad I didn't leave myself to wither!

This really applies to people of any age. At 50+ and running a biz in NYC for the last 14 yrs, I moved to the country last year and love it. Spending a month in Paris now and love it too. So much to experience out there.
