What I actually want to do is throw @stripe Atlas, @LambdaSchool & Sudbury Valley into a blender, bottle it, and send to every parent or teacher who’s tired of watching bright, sensitive children & teens fall off the assembly line and be left where they fall until they age out

Start with the Sudbury package, condensed to a searchable format that can be consumed in <10 years. Atlas-ify it to get started in an organizationally sound way & keep legally compliant. Lambda-fy it to provide tracks for kids who outpace the adults around them in tech, etc.

From what I've read, a lot of the kids that go to the original Sudbury school are there in part due to behavioral issues in public schools... I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, but their disciplinary system is very cool:https://sudburybeach.wordpress.com/2016/01/25/sudbury-and-discipline/ …

in the early 2000s we had an "intern" program where we had kids come after school to learn about the internet/programming. been thinking about trying that again but i am not sure if the same model is doable, though this is interesting

The student funding model is hard. Lambda gets around it by using ISAs but age is too far from income for that to work. If charter approvals were more automated you could atlasify that model. Wonder if you could create an umbrella charter that has self directed campuses.

@mpstaton at Learn Capital is currently looking at this online. Also check out Acton Academy who is doing it in a more structured in-person franchise format.
