Seriously, going to great lengths to be in rooms where I’m the stupidest person present has done wonders. Ask ALL the questions. Brilliant people will tell you the condensed version of what they’ve spent years learning, and they’ll enjoy doing it & think better of you for caring
Maybe a dumb question, but what lengths were they? In other words, what advice would one give someone about how to find smarter people?
I dunno if I can give advice, but living in/close to NYC/SF has dramatically increased the pool. Going to interesting conferences, volunteering if I can’t afford a ticket. Sometimes going to conference locations even if I can’t get in, because people hang out and talk
