As far as I can tell, my life is a tabletop RPG, but instead of d20 rolls there's just a coin flip and then I'm either on a sailboat in Cabo or everything is on fire

I think I perceived a lot of middle class security illusions early on — maybe to a greater extent than was justified — and reacted by grabbing high-risk/high-reward opportunities by default. Now it's habitual, but I think I might be slowly aging out of chaos-as-lifestyle
