Generally under conditions of uncertainty I think people should favor action over inaction to correct for a human tendency toward risk aversion... but this is maybe only really applicable when tight feedback loops exist. A problem with a lot of activism is a lack of fast feedback

If you want to do something high-impact, you better be damn sure you know where the checkpoints are and how to look for any evidence that you’re just actively making the world a worse place
