The risk/reward of Twitter gets worse as you gain followers.
Possible positive: lots of people agree with you. Maybe someone wants to meet you.
Possible negative: you get fired and people start to boycot and protest everything you touch.

Schadenfreudic social climbing passing as activism has really screwed us. It seems to be less about any kind of reasonable caution (the norms don't seem to be solidifying at all), more about managing the price on your head for the outgroup
