I finally (partially) disagree with Lenore — I think it’s pretty awful to post a humiliating video of someone else (child or adult) w/o permission. When I was a teen, mom & I were devising new and increasingly clever means of manipulating one another on the daily. They make *hilarious* stories to share now, adult to adult! I think social media could’ve been a real threat to our relationship back then, if it had been a thing

Importantly, the key point of the article stands! We need to have some perspective — these are real, messy families like everyone else’s. People make mistakes, kids and parents alike. We’re all better off dismounting the high horse & instead thinking about what can be learned.
