Yesterday’s internet rabbit hole is owed to FOSTA, the blatantly anti-prostitution bill sold as the “Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act.” Lots of sex workers are indicating that this bill puts resources they rely on — to protect themselves from violence & seek help — at risk.

People DON’T read legislation, they don’t listen to sex workers and other vulnerable groups that lack widespread appeal. They DO see titles like “Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act” and expect their reps to vote yes, facts aside. What do we do about this?
