I seriously wonder how much sociopolitical aggression is driven by the dearth of outlets for the significant fears & loss inherent in adult life. Vulnerability w/o a hashtag to sell its purpose to some larger movement doesn’t feel welcome, but the dull, common pains matter too
Definitely had everyday people in mind when I wrote the tweet, and the “sociopolitical aggression” I meant to refer to was definitely not largely physical violence, though not necessarily exclusive of it. Tbh I feel totally incompetent to comment on mass shootings
