When I was a teenager [at an all-girls school], all my nerdy friends were into Final Fantasy and The Sims. I think the "nerd women" demographic is pretty underserved tbh.
My crowd was super into animal-breeding games, which have seen essentially no improvement. Might be wishful thinking, but it seems to me like there's room for a solid indie game based on a pretty complex genome, or at least "Spore, but less gimmicky"
