I'm writing a character who's *exceedingly* brilliant, and I'm sort of nurturing this bizarre feeling that he KNOWS. He's keeping quiet, but between the lines I write he's working out how to jump the simulation. Keeping him down requires fully wielding my narrative omniscience.
