We DO need to be talking about gender issues in tech, but you can’t be leading this conversation in any sense until you’re willing to acknowledge how misleading accounts & noble lies do all of us a massive disservice. Don’t rely on a single source. This is important.
I don’t know, of course, but I doubt this. I think this was probably just a mistake that caused a lot of undue harm.
