I’ve been thinking a lot about how concerned I am with shifting norms around political disagreement — especially where saying something, casting a vote, etc. is perceived as *actual* violence & therefore ought to be responded to as though it were truly violent behavior.

The rage cues are outcompeting one another toward refinement just as any material we could use to understand our ideological opponents is removed from view. When we do see the “enemy” talk, we’re out for blood.
